The final SEC equity crowdfunding rules are finally here, set to take effect May 16, 2016. Entrepreneurs will learn what they need to know about crowdfunding and other new fundraising techniques during the first Council Connect of 2016, hosted by Clark Hill PLC.
Securities attorney Charlie Berry will present on the nuts and bolts of federal and Arizona equity crowdfunding. We’ll discuss how companies can take advantage of this exciting new funding tool. Attendees will learn about the investment limits, qualifications, entity formation and governance issues, disclosure requirements, ongoing reporting, and the new online funding portals. We will also discuss other new methods of raising capital after the JOBS Act. All in all, this event will help companies determine if crowdfunding is right for them and how to get started.
