The Pima County Information Technology Department is seeking a motivated and highly organized person for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Knowledge Management Specialist for the County Classified Title of Business Systems Analyst I who is a self-motivated, thorough, disciplined, and perceptive individual.

This position is a member of a team that supports internal Information Technology projects.
The successful candidate will have experience in multiple disciplines including creating documentation to explain new or updated technology to an end user, developing work instructions and knowledge articles, and delivering campaigns to educate users.
This role includes writing knowledge base articles and analysis of customer support interactions in a help desk environment.

The successful candidate will bring a mix of technical, social, communication, and analytical skills and aptitude. They will be process-oriented with a strong work ethic and the ability to find what needs to be done. Duties/Responsibilities

The Pima County Information Technology Department is seeking an entry-level Telecom Technician for the County Classified Title of IT Support Analyst I. The working environment is highly team-oriented, technical, self-motivated, and meticulous. Communication skills are critical.

The architecture includes a Shoretel/Mitel Connect phone system with ACD/IVR application and associated features and a Mitel MiVoice Business solution. The team supports staff and call handling for multiple departments across dozens of locations with a variety of telephony needs.

The work involves supporting the phone system components, designing solutions for new/existing users and departments, along working closely with teammates, users, and technical support to troubleshoot, identify, and resolve issues. Job Description

Summary/objective

This role acts as the most senior Installation Technician while on job sites. Those in this role must set an example of demonstrating strong skills and on the job knowledge, professionalism, and quality of work for the Technicians to follow.

Essential functions

Review the job folder prior to the start of the project, report missing items, follow install standards through job completion
Participate in development of Project Plan and walk through job site with PM team to verify facility requirements are complete
Lay out the work to be accomplished each day and assign tasks to other techs accordingly
Follow-work orders and provide feedback to the PM for how long each task took. Ensure that all work on the work order is accomplished in the allotted timeframe and communicate to PM if there are any deviations.
Send equipment request for each day of the project to PM.
Make requests for any specialized tools and equipment.
Manage project hours, send technicians home if they are not required on site.
Report daily work & issues through status reports
Own the responsibility for following-up on reported issues with PM until they are resolved.
Get PM approval for any change to the scope of work.

Troubleshoot basic issues with manufacturer tech support – If tech support does not have an immediate fix, escalate to PM and stop working to resolve the problem
Ensure the job site is left clean and with all equipment and tools secure

Duties:

Monitor and evaluate SPC data using Excel/MiniTab/MATLAB

Under the general supervision of the Information Technology Director, responsible for the development of department-specific and web-based Geographic Information Systems (GIS) products, data, and applications. Performs a variety of technical tasks relative to the assigned area of responsibility.

TASKS:

Maintains the geospatial database and map service used by the Cottonwood Emergency Communication Center (ECC).

Designs, develops, programs, implements, and supports GIS applications using ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and other ESRI products.

Serves as project manager for GIS projects. Manages short and long-term projects from inception through implementation and evaluation.

High-level GIS and data specialist with experience in application design, task automation, spatial/tabular data processing, cartographic production/digital mapping, data management, data collection, and data entry.

Act as a liaison between department-specific GIS users and other City departments to address GIS support, quality assurance, and quality control.

Assists employees with technical support related to application design, database design, and data management.

Identifies and works with other agencies to determine general scope and objectives, specific requirements, and strategies.

Generates hard copy specialty maps and GIS data requests as needed by the City departments.

Updates the County’s street centerline data for Cottonwood and assists with Clarkdale updates using GIS data standards and workflows developed by the County.

Reviews and evaluates proposed street names within the Verde Valley.

Provides accurate, prompt, knowledgeable, and courteous support with regard to GIS problems or information requests.

Accurately and promptly completes projects within the prescribed time frame.

Assists in developing and maintaining internal GIS standards based on industry standards.

Establishes quality control procedures and techniques to ensure the validity and accuracy of Cottonwood GIS data layers.

Maintains ESRI software licensing, software installation, and troubleshooting.

Communicates effectively and professionally through written correspondence and oral communication and the ability to convey GIS/spatial information to non-GIS/technical people clearly.

Interacts effectively with other local Cities and Towns, Counties State and Federal agencies.

Advises the Information Technology Director of GIS issues affecting the City.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:

Knowledge of geography and various methods and references common to GIS applications, such as coordinate systems, coordinate geometry (COGO), topology, mapping, and cartographic standards.

Advanced knowledge of industry-standard GIS software and technology and of the development of web-based software.
Knowledge of relational database technologies (SQL Server or Oracle).
Knowledge of Motorola’s FLEX Spillman CAD software.
Demonstrated advanced knowledge and skills in cartography, spatial analysis, geospatial data editing, and use of ArcGIS Desktop 10.x, ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
