Hobbs announces 19-member committee to develop AI policy guidelines for the state

On Wednesday, Gov. Katie Hobbs announced the members of a group that will develop AI policy guidelines for the state government. The 19-person committee consists of technology and law experts as well as local government members.

Hobbs says the committee will develop a framework for artificial intelligence, recommend guidelines for the technology’s adoption across agencies and strengthen AI literacy.

The first report is expected to come next spring.
