Arizona Technology Council Launches Tuition Discount Program with Grand Canyon University

New Partnership Provides Employees of Member Companies and their Families with Access to Tuition Discounts, Scholarships and Career-Focused Education Opportunities

PHOENIX, June 4, 2026 – The Arizona Technology Council today announced a new partnership with Grand Canyon University (GCU) that gives employees of Arizona Technology Council member companies and their eligible spouses and dependents access to tuition discounts and scholarships for degree programs, certificates and individual courses.

Through the program, eligible participants may receive a 10% tuition scholarship for online or evening campus courses, as well as additional annual scholarship support for qualifying on-campus technology and engineering programs.

“Arizona’s technology sector continues to grow rapidly, and developing a strong talent pipeline is essential to sustaining that momentum,” said Steven G. Zylstra, president and CEO of the Arizona Technology Council and SciTech Institute. “This partnership with Grand Canyon University provides our member companies with another valuable tool to invest in their employees and their families while helping more Arizonans gain the skills needed for high-demand careers.”

The GCU Arizona Technology Council Partnership is designed to help Arizona’s technology workforce upskill, reskill and pursue new career opportunities in fields critical to the state’s growing innovation economy.

Employees of Arizona Technology Council member companies may be eligible for:

  • A 10% tuition scholarship for eligible online or evening campus courses for employees and eligible spouses or dependents
  • Up to $2,000 per year for on-campus residents enrolled in eligible technology or engineering programs
  • Up to $1,000 per year for off-campus commuters enrolled in eligible technology programs

Eligibility begins on an employee’s first day with a member company. The scholarship may be used toward bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degree programs, certificates or a single course.

As of December 2025, GCU offers 380 academic programs, including more than 300 online programs, allowing participants to pursue their education through either online learning or on-campus classes in Phoenix. The new benefit is available exclusively to employees of Arizona Technology Council member companies and their eligible family members. Participants must verify eligibility using a company email address before creating an account through the program portal.

For Arizona Technology Council member companies, the program offers an additional employee benefit that can help strengthen recruitment, improve retention and support ongoing workforce development.
