Microsoft has begun release of Office 2016, new versions of desktop apps for Windows that include Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, OneNote, Project, Visio and Access.
By subscribing to Office 365, Microsoft’s cloud-based subscription service, users can get always-up-to-date installed apps for use across their devices combined with continually evolving consumer and commercial services such as OneDrive online storage, Skype for Business and enterprise-grade security features.
The Office 2016 apps also simplify collaboration. For example, Co-authoring4 provided in Word, PowerPoint and OneNote desktop software allows real-time typing in Word that lets all users see others’ edits as they are made.
