Scottsdale-based Encora to acquire European software engineering services company

Axon Enterprise Inc. is launching its next-generation body camera and is looking to fill hundreds of jobs as the company ramps up operations. The Scottsdale-based law enforcement technology company on Wednesday released the Axon Body 4, which it says boosts transparency and real-time communication among public safety officials. The Axon Body 4 has a larger field of view from prior models with an option to connect an additional point-of-view camera, allowing for alternative perspectives closely mirroring the officers’ field of vision. Tucson’s Phantom Space signs deal to send tiny data-collecting satellites into space

Phantom Space Corp., the Tucson-based rocket and space applications company, will be providing three dedicated launch missions for satellite manufacturer Quub Inc. under a new agreement. Under the deal, Pennsylvania-based Quub will be able to put more than 80 satellites into low earth orbit for each launch. Phantom Space will provide all needed preparation services — such as handling regulatory, technical, insurance and schedule requirements — for each launch. Virgin Galactic touts Delta-class ships, to be built in Mesa, as company plans return to space this month

Executives at Virgin Galactic (NYSE: SPCE) said construction on the company’s spaceship manufacturing facility in Mesa is coming along as it touted the “strong returns” of its next generation of spaceships and prepares to head back to space through a test flight later this month. Phoenix Sky Harbor saw a pre-pandemic level of passengers and had its busiest month ever

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport broke its all-time monthly passenger record in March – signaling a major comeback for the commercial aviation and tourism industries following the slowdown caused by Covid-19 pandemic, according to the most recent report from the Phoenix Aviation Department. A total of 4,615,127 passengers flew into or out of the region’s primary airport during March, which was an 8.2% increase from the same month a year ago and a 2% increase from the 4.5 million passengers the airport saw in March 2019, the previous monthly record. A passion for the mission: Ashley Glover of WebPT
