Steve Patterson, CTO of Leonardo Laser Solutions, will begin with a brief history of diode lasers before advancing to a concise explanation of how lasers work. From there, a comparison of various laser types will be made weighing their relative merits. The talk will end with a discussion of advances in and applications of diode lasers as well as what we might expect in the years to come.
