It was good news for the new boss when AZTC Premier Sponsor the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) was able to report to board Chair Gov. Doug Ducey that ACA had exceeded its annual goals—two months before the end of the fiscal year.
In the first quarterly board of directors meeting with Ducey, staff reported that 15,450 Arizona jobs and $1.2 billion in capital investment had been generated. The average annual wage for the jobs is $54,097, which is 160 percent more than the state’s 2014 median wage baseline.
One company that ACA has assisted is DLS Solutions, a developer of custom software for the biotechnology industry. The company will relocate its corporate headquarters and biotechnology control systems manufacturing operation to Arizona from Connecticut.
