Today, cancer is the No. 1 cause of death by disease in children in the U.S.; it takes the lives of more boys and girls than all other diseases combined. Our future generations are at risk, and we at Impress Labs have committed ourselves to doing whatever it takes to help find a cure, and ensure the lives of these young people are filled with hope and cheer as they fight their battles.
On Dec. 8, 2015, our charitable arm, the Impress Foundation, will host its second annual TECHminds Charity Golf Classic at Troon North Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event is designed to bring together executives of the high-tech, clean-tech and bio-tech industries for a day of golf, valuable networking and, with your support, a proud display of charity. One hundred percent of all proceeds will go to two charities focused on finding a cure for childhood cancers: Phoenix Children’s Hospital and G1ve a Buck Fund.
There is a serious lack of awareness regarding childhood cancer and a huge lack of funding. Without funding, there is no research: No research, no cure. Phoenix Children’s Hospital and the G1ve a Buck Fund are committed to our future, to our families. They are actively searching for answers, and they need our help.
With a little more than a month away from tee-off, we have reached the halfway mark toward our goal of raising $70K. Many clients and other tech companies in Arizona and Silicon Valley are already on board, such as ASM, EV Group, Amkor, KLA-Tencor, AG Semiconductor, Entrepix, NSTAR and many more. There is still time to participate, as a golfer or a sponsor. Our goal is to make this second edition of the TECHminds Charity Golf Classic even more successful than last year’s event, when we raised over $20K for Make-A-Wish Arizona. But we can’t do it alone.
Impress Foundation is set up as a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization, so all donations can be made tax deductible. To sign up for the event or to make a charitable contribution, please visit: http://www.impresslabs.com/impress-foundation/techminds2015/
You can help make a difference; you can be part of a cure.
Hope to see you there!
