First female CEO of Symmetry Software discusses dynamic growth

We are pleased to have Elizabeth Oviedo, CEO of Symmetry Software, on the TechFocus Member Spotlight. Oviedo began her career at Symmetry Software in 2012 as the Marketing Director and served as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) for five years before moving into the CEO role, becoming the company’s first female CEO and the second CEO only in over 37 years in business. As CSO Oviedo lead the company through a rapid phase of new product development and business growth.

Symmetry monitors the rules and regulations for payroll taxes across the country and uses that research to provide precise tax calculations ensuring employee payroll is calculated accurately. With payroll integrations that range from electronic withholding forms to federal, state and local tax lookup tools, Symmetry makes its customers’ payroll processes compliant with regulations, automated, efficient and error-free.

Oviedo’s father, Tom Reahard, started Symmetry in 1984 and was also a founding member of the Arizona Software and Industry Association in the late 1980s, which was one of the two groups that merged to become the Arizona Technology Council. Today, Symmetry and its employees continue to be active in AZTC by hosting events, participating on committees, and attending educational events.
