Sold-out crowd celebrates the Most Influential Women in Arizona for 2022
Az Business and AZRE magazines honored the Most Influential Women in Arizona for 2022 in front of a sold-out crowd Thursday, Aug. 25 at Chateau Luxe in Phoenix.
“This year, we had nearly 2,000 women under consideration for this honor,” said AZ Big Media Publisher Amy Lindsey. “Every year, I read hundreds of nominations and continue to be overwhelmed by the talent of so many of Arizona’s women business leaders. While the women being recognized tonight have diverse roles — doctors, lawyers, bankers and even a TV courtroom judge — it was clear during the judging that each of these women possesses knowledge, power, strength, dedication and creativity.”
The premier sponsor of the Most Influential Women in Arizona event was Forward Tilt. The fine jewelry sponsor was Molina Fine Jewelers and the automotive sponsor was Karma Scottsdale.

Az Business and AZRE magazines only allow women to make the Most Influential Women list once, but the judging committee did decide to start bringing back one former honoree each year to receive an Icon Award. The first recipient of the Icon Award was Sharon Harper, chairman, CEO and co-founder of Plaza Companies.
“I’m inspired by this award, so honored by it, and that inspiration will find itself in what I do tomorrow, in what I do next week and next year because I want to keep growing our opportunities, growing our state, growing our company, and really taking everything to a new level,” Harper said.
While the celebration honored all 50 Most Influential Women for 2022, the judging committee did award five Spotlight Awards for exceptional achievement:
