Scottsdale Chamber invites you to make mental health a priority

Are you ready to make mental health a priority in your business? On Wednesday, September 27th, join us for an event designed to help you understand the legal and economic benefits of prioritizing mental health in your organization.

“A healthy workplace is the foundation of thriving organizations and healthier communities,” said Mark Stanton, President and CEO of the Scottsdale Chamber. “By removing the stigmas associated with behavioral health, and being proactive in awareness and education, we have an opportunity to make mental health and well-being a priority in our workplaces.”

The program begins with a workshop titled “Mental Health: Legal Obligations in the Workplace”, hosted by Taylor Secemski, Managing Attorney of Legal Training and Content Development at the Employers Council, which will provide an overview of the legal issues surrounding mental health in the workplace, helping employers comply with legal requirements, and mitigate potential risks.

That will be followed by a panel discussion titled: “Mental Health: Best Practices and Reducing the Stigma in the Workplace”, featuring industry experts who will share insights on the benefits of prioritizing mental health in the workplace. Attendees will gain best practices that can be applied at their businesses immediately. The panelists will be Bill Southwick, Chief Executive Officer at Banner Behavioral Health Hospital; Alex Stavros, Chief Executive Officer at Embark Behavioral Health; and Tina Thornton, Associate Vice President of Wellbeing and Safety at Nationwide Insurance.

The event will conclude with a VIP Reception for sponsors and VIP ticket holders. This will give attendees an opportunity to ask questions specific to their business in a relaxed and casual atmosphere.

Secure your spot now by registering today! Space is limited so reserve your seat ASAP! Members are $30 for the Workshop & Panel Discussion or $50 for both events plus the VIP Reception; Non-Members are $40 or $70 respectively.
