ABOUT THE COUNCIL

The Arizona Technology Council is the driving force behind making our state the fastest growing technology hub in the nation; connecting and empowering Arizona’s technology community. As Arizona’s premier trade association for science and technology companies, the Council is recognized as having a diverse professional business community and top professional networking organization. The Arizona Technology Council offers numerous events, educational forums and business conferences that bring together leaders, managers, employees and visionaries to make an impact on the technology industry. AZTC offers a variety of Phoenix networking groups for multiple industries with different commitment levels to fit every schedule. Council members work toward furthering the advancement of technology in Arizona through leadership, education, legislation and social action. These interactions contribute to the Council’s culture of growing member businesses and transforming technology in Arizona.

HISTORY

The Council was established in 2002 after the Arizona High Tech Industry Cluster merged with the Arizona Software & Industry Association. The Arizona Technology Council has since grown into an 800+ member professional networking organization that offers a variety of conferences and events through out the year.

LEADERSHIP

Led by Chairman Mike Guggemos, Insight Enterprises, the Council is governed by a Board of Directors. Steven G. Zylstra serves as president and CEO and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Council.

With an office in Phoenix, an office in Tucson and events regularly serving northern Arizona, the Council is Arizona’s only statewide organization serving the technology sector. The Arizona Technology Council is the only professional networking organization that provides networking, education and lobbying for the technology business sector. Providing its member companies with marketing opportunities, educational events, discounts on products and services and creating business-focused legislation to enhance Arizona’s business climate, the Council ranks as one of the most important business organizations in the state.
