Chandler tech giant Insight Enterprises acquires Charlotte IT consulting firm

PHX Business Journal

Chandler-based Insight Enterprises Inc., one of the Valley’s largest publicly traded tech companies, has acquired Infocenter, a rapidly-growing information technology consulting firm based in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Insight (Nasdaq: NSIT) said in a Thursday announcement that the deal closed May 1. The acquisition equips the firm with full ServiceNow offerings such as consulting, implementation and managed services to its automation solutions portfolio. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Infocenter, founded in 2017 by Michael Vadini, built a managed-services business that helps companies maximize the benefits of digital transformation on the ServiceNow cloud-computing platform.

In February, Infocenter was named as the 2024 ServiceNow Americas Consulting and Implementation Partner of the Year. The achievement is a part of ServiceNow’s award program that recognizes companies’ commitment to expanding the platform’s ecosystem.

Joyce Mullen, Insight president and CEO, said in a statement that workflow automation is crucial.

“Our clients expect unified cross-enterprise experiences, and with Infocenter’s deep ServiceNow expertise, we will be better positioned than ever to deliver industry-leading intelligent workflow automation solutions fueled by AI to create unified experiences and deliver valuable insights.”

Infocenter will operate as an independent unit, according to an Insight spokesperson. Vadini will report to Dee Burger, Insight’s North America president.

Insight is ranked No. 6 on the Business Journal’s list of the largest publicly traded companies in Arizona, with annual revenue of $10.4 billion based on the most recent data available. The Fortune 500 company moved into its new Chandler headquarters in 2022.

Insight CFO Glynis Bryan to retire

The news comes just as Insight also announced that the company’s longtime CFO, Glynis Bryan, plans to retire effective Dec. 31.

Bryan, 65, has been with the company since December 2007. After her retirement, she will transition to an advisory role, the company said in its announcement. She was named one of the Phoenix Business Journal’s Most Admired Leaders in 2021.

The company has engaged an executive search firm to identify and evaluate potential successors from internal and external candidates, and Bryan will assist in the search process.

“I am thankful for the amazing opportunity I have had at Insight over the last 17 years. It has been a fun and rewarding experience to have assisted in transforming the company from a traditional value-added reseller to a powerhouse solutions integrator,” Bryan said in a statement. “I sincerely appreciate the efforts of our teammates, and in particular I appreciate my finance team for their dedication and willingness to embrace change, our leadership team for the challenging and open dialogue that drove us to accomplish this significant transformation and our clients for trusting us to help with their challenging and changing technology needs. It has truly been a privilege and an honor to be a part of this excellent team and to have played a part in Insight’s amazing transformation.”

Mullen, in a statement, thanked Bryan for her partnership, support and friendship.

“I am grateful to Glynis for her inspirational leadership and drive over the last 65 quarters,” Mullen said. “She has had an enormous impact at Insight during this time. Glynis is loved and admired for her business acumen, strong leadership and very quick wit by our teammates, partners and clients.”

Vadini, CEO of Infocenter, said the deal will help Insight elevate how they design, deliver and manage enterprise-wide transformation for clients. Insight helps businesses expedite their digital journey to modernize their company and maximize the value of technology.

Infocenter’s employees and leadership team will remain with the company. Insight employs about 230 people in North Carolina, including the addition of about 30 Infocenter workers based in Charlotte.
