The State of Voice Technology

At this event, we’ll discuss Voice Technologies. Voice interfaces have been adopted faster than nearly any other technology in history. We already see the impact with Alexa, Siri, and Google Home. But that just scratches the surface. As IoT devices proliferate, we will be interfacing with them more and more via voice as we control and interface with smart homes and businesses. In addition, the AI that facilitates voice interfaces (Speech Recognition and Natural Language Processing) is improving at an exponential rate, providing deep-blue opportunities to entrepreneurs.

1. Brief introductions from all members
2. Interactive presentation of “The State of Voice Technology” by Vincent Serpico*
3. This is the super fun part – We’ll divide into small teams and “invent” a cool voice-enabled Alexa skill. Each team will present their idea to the group for comments and feedback.

This gathering is going to be a great opportunity to learn a lot about voice technology and its B2B and B2C applications. The presentation will set the stage to getting you really thinking about applications of voice technology. The creative team collaboration session will give you the opportunity to put what you’ve learned into practice. *Vincent Serpico has been in the Phoenix tech community for 20 years. He has worked a software developer, an AI data scientist, a VP of DEV, and a CTO, He has also founded 3 startups, raised money, and actively angel invests as a member of ATI. Serpico currently runs a software development services company that caters to startups, entrepreneurs and small businesses.
