Our Women in the Workforce Series continues as Dr. Angela Baldasare presents…
Her Pathways to Success!
June 8, 2018 | 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Meet our speaker: Dr. Angela Baldasare, Assistant Provost for Institutional Research at University of Arizona.
Angela will share her experiences and perspectives on her path to executive leadership. Her talk will cover:
- How to develop effective leadership styles
- Tools and resources to succeed and thrive
- Perspectives on the challenge of balancing work and personal life
In a world of imperfect data, high data demand, and plenty of analysis paralysis, Dr. Angela Baldasare finds her happy place as a translator bridging the gaps between the numbers, interpretation, and taking action. Angela is an experienced researcher, analyst, and consultant with a demonstrated history of success in higher education and public policy, helping organizations of all kinds effectively use data to inform strategy and achieve and improve upon measurable outcomes. Currently serving as the assistant provost for institutional research at the University of Arizona, Angela is focused on UA’s data strategy, improving and expanding the delivery of actionable information through timely and targeted analyses, data visualizations, on-demand interactive dashboards, modeling tools, and predictive analytics.
Angela earned her PhD in sociology from University of Arizona and was an assistant professor at the University of Dayton from 2000-2003. Angela then spent 10 years as a consultant on international public health and justice projects, as well as statewide and tribal initiatives for multiple branches of the Arizona Governor’s Office, U.S. Health and Human Services, and the U.S. Department of Justice. From 2010-2014, Angela served as the director of Assessment & Research for Student Affairs and Enrollment Management at UA before stepping into her current role in University Analytics and Institutional Research (UAIR).
