The Quantum Economic Development Consortium (QED-C) invites you to participate in our upcoming workshop, Sharing & Securing Medical Data for Electronic Health Records (EHR), which will be held on Monday, January 12, 2026 at University of Arizona, Scottsdale Center; address: 7135 E Camelback Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85251.
This full day, in-person workshop will bring together experts from quantum networking and computing to explore key challenges for sharing & securing medical data for EHR.
Workshop Focus
Participants will engage in collaborative exercises to identify gaps, opportunities, and next steps for advancing the field. The following goals will guide the discussions and contribute to the post-workshop report:
- Develop a clear understanding of the current landscape, including active leadership groups, certification bodies, and emerging standards shaping quantum adoption in healthcare.
- Identify and evaluate computational methodologies (quantum and classical) that could enhance security and privacy of medical data, including homomorphic encryption and hybrid architectures.
- Define and validate an industry reference architecture combining QKD and PQC, with applications across medical records, clinical trials, and device data, as well as secure external data exchange and analytical computations.
- Establish an accessible entry point to quantum technologies and their relevance for healthcare data security and collaboration.
A catered lunch and snacks will be provided. There will also be many opportunities to network with the fellow participants.
