Joby Aviation: The Future of Aviation Lands in Arizona

Please join the Arizona Commerce Authority (ACA) and Joby Aviation at the Phoenix Deer Valley Airport for a special flight demonstration event as part of Joby’s Electric Skies tour, bringing the technologies shaping the future of aviation to communities across the country in honor of America’s 250th anniversary.

In Phoenix, guests will have the opportunity to see Joby’s J208, a Cessna 208 Caravan equipped with Joby’s autonomy technology, and learn how it is being developed for both commercial and defense applications.

Phoenix will also mark the first stop on an ambitious journey across America. We plan to fly the J208 aircraft autonomously from the West Coast to the East Coast and back again, visiting 12 locations and covering approximately 5,541 nautical miles.
The flights form part of our work under the White House-backed eVTOL and Advanced Air Mobility Integration Pilot Program (eIPP), which is accelerating the safe introduction of advanced aviation technologies across the United States. The Electric Skies tour brings this work – and our broader portfolio of future aviation technologies – to communities across the country, giving people the opportunity to see the future of flight firsthand.
