Fast, reliable, low-cost access to large volumes of data is one of the most critical capabilities that will define the future. The next-generation Internet, known as 5G, will usher in the Internet of Things and revolutionize information flow for people, transportation, “Smart Cities”, and almost every aspect of daily life. FreeFall’s unique 3-dimensional antennas represent a completely new approach to achieving the benefits and addressing the challenges of 5G.
At this after5 event, attendees will learn how Tucson’s tech startup, FreeFall, will help make 5G a reality.
FreeFall is developing revolutionary new antenna technology for ground, air, and space. The company’s innovative spherical antennas are drawing interest from a wide variety of commercial and government organizations. They offer a wide field of view, electronic steering, and low mass to dramatically simplify and improve satellite communications. FreeFall’s unique antennas for the coming 5G wireless world are unlike anything else on the market and enable high-frequency, steerable communications for Smart Cities, connected vehicles, and the Internet of Things. FreeFall was founded in Tucson as a spin-off from the University of Arizona and maintains a close connection with UA faculty and supporters.
