Encora makes acquisition with sights set on Latin America

Encora, a global software product engineering company based in Scottsdale, has acquired Daitan, a fast growing software development company with several global offices. Encora shared that acquiring Daitan extends its reach further into Latin America and upon the deal’s closing the company’s headcount will rise up to 5,500 engineers worldwide.

Encora is backed by Warburg Pincus, a global private equity juggernaut based in New York, which invested $200 million in the company in 2019. Encora was previously known as Indecomm Digital Services, but the company announced a rebranding last year that brought previous acquisitions under a unified brand.

“Encora has grown by delivering innovation to leading edge software companies through new and emerging technologies such as machine learning, cloud services and design-led digital experience,” Encora CEO Venu Raghavan said in a statement. “Adding Daitan’s depth of services and domain expertise strengthens our offerings in our focus industries and broadens our LATAM footprint with top-tier talent in Brazil.”
