The Arizona Technology Council understands that many startups and small businesses can’t afford health insurance. That’s why the Council’s new association health plan, created in collaboration with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona, is perfect for employers with less than 100 employees.

In turn, our members can take advantage of affordable health plans that can help attract and retain top talent. The rising cost of health insurance is one of the critical challenges facing Council members. Some have been among the 15 million Americans working for a small business and their families lack health coverage.
The association health plan measure approved by the Arizona Legislature enables us to offer our members high-quality coverage that is affordable. The Council thanks Sen. Kate Brophy McGee for her leadership, support and sponsorship of the legislation that made this important program a reality. Now, small companies can gain access to the type of health coverage benefits for their employees that have long been afforded to only larger companies.
While Council members are building their companies, we’re building their benefits program. They no longer have to make the hard choice of prioritizing paying for health care or investing that money into their business and employees. They can now do both.
