The 8th Annual Southern Arizona Tech + Business Expo was a great success! Thank you to all who sponsored, presented, exhibited, and attended. We kicked off with networking at the beach, then we heard from leaders in information technology, quantum internet, and digital signal processing, handed out our Annual Awards, visited tech company virtual booths and ended the night with more networking and fireworks at the beach!

She provides an overview of the institution’s approach on continuing its research mission in light of the stay-at-home order, opportunities for high-impact innovation during the pandemic and explains how COVID-19 will shift the research model going forward.
The Arizona Technology Council’s July 2020 Tech Sector Series event featured a distinguished panel of experts from leading space technology companies, including Freefall Aerospace, Arizona Spaceport Alliance, University of Advancing Technology and Viasat as they discussed how space technology is exponentially changing the world we live in. Moderated by Stephen Fleming, VP of Strategic Business Initiatives at The University of Arizona, it was a fantastic discussion and well worth a listen.
The Arizona Technology Council’s July 2020 MarTech Series event featured Televerde Marketing Transformation Consultant Amanda Ovenden as she shared how to go about reevaluating your company’s technology stack and how to develop the crucial game plan to align your teams around shared information. Moderated by by MarTech Series Co-Chair Sheila Klefkorn, CEO of KEO Marketing, it was a fantastic discussion and well worth a listen.

Wyant, the founding dean of The University of Arizona’s College of Optical Sciences, will be awarded the AccountabilIT Lifetime Achievement Award October 24 at the 2019 Governor’s Celebration of Innovation (GCOI) at the Phoenix Convention Center.
That was the focus of a workshop hosted during the SciTech Institute’s 2019 STEM & Innovation Summit. Many schools claim they have great STEM programs, but often offer little to students beyond AP science courses or after-school clubs. Sometimes, some teachers and administration members within a school may not even be aware of what their STEM curriculum looks like.
