Scottsdale Chamber of Commerce announces 2023 inductees for 28th annual Scottsdale History Hall of Fame

The Past Presidents’ Council of the Scottsdale Area Chamber of Commerce today announced the 2023 inductees for the 28th annual Scottsdale History Hall of Fame event to be held Thursday, May 18, 2023. The event honoring individuals, local companies, and non-profit organizations is presented by event sponsor, the Scottsdale Charros.

The PMO Squad earns Platinum Medallion from U.S. Department of Labor

For the second consecutive year The PMO Squad has received the Platinum Medallion from the US Department of Labor HIRE Vets program. The HIRE Vets Medallion Award is the only federal-level veterans’ employment award that recognizes a company or organization’s commitment to veteran hiring, retention, and professional development.

Local colleges win at Governor’s Celebration of Innovation

Tuesday, November 8, 2022, the Arizona Technology Council and Arizona Commerce Authority announced the winners of the 2022 Governor’s Celebration of Innovation awards. Innovator of the Year for Academia was awarded to Chandler-Gilbert Community College (CGCC) and Estrella Mountain Community College (EMCC) for their Artificial Intelligence partnership with Intel.

Winners of this prestigious annual award program represent the best of the best in Arizona’s technology, science and education ecosystem. This year’s recipients were recognized tonight in a ceremony at the Phoenix Convention Center.

Individual winners and company finalists for the 2022 GCOI awards announced by Arizona Technology Council and Arizona Commerce Authority

Honoring the organizations and individuals that fuel Arizona’s high-performance and fast-growing technology, science and education landscape, the Arizona Technology Council and the Arizona Commerce Authority have announced individual winners and company award finalists for the 2022 Governor’s Celebration of Innovation (GCOI). The company award winners will be announced at the annual event on Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 4:00 to 8:30 p.m. at the Phoenix Convention Center, 100 N. Third St., West Building, Third Floor.

Small Business Awards: Micro-Sized Company winner — The PMO Squad

After Joe Pusz struggled to find outside consultants willing to work in project management for a bigger company, he started The PMO Squad, a boutique project management consulting firm, in 2013. As the firm approaches its 10-year anniversary, its growth and evolution keeps Pusz, the company’s president, confident about its potential. “It feels like we’ve been validated, that there’s a need for what we provide in the industry,” he said.
