Tucson startup Staff Matters will be launching its first expansion operations in both Phoenix and Portland, Ore., later this summer. Constantino Rodriguez will be heading the Phoenix expansion while Matt Stedron will be in charge of the Portland expansion.
Staff Matters became the largest recruiting and staffing firm in Southern Arizona in just four years. Its recruiting services initially focused on technical and professional job classifications. The company added an administrative, light industrial and general labor staffing division in 2012.
In addition, Staff Matters offers its clients complimentary services such as general employment law guidance, co-employment law training, 1099 independent contractor risk guidance and salary surveys.
Staff Matters was recognized in the 2015 Inc. 5000 list as the fastest growing private company in Southern Arizona, 26th in the state and 35th nationwide among all human resource services.
Founder & CEO Garrett Kowalewski has chaired the Arizona Technology Council’s Tucson Ambassador Committee since its formation more than eight years ago.
