Dennis R. Minano, managing director of CMM and retired vice president of public policy and chief environmental officer for General Motors, has been named the new chairman of the board for Sun Corridor, formerly known as Tucson Regional Economic Opportunities.
Other new board leaders are Vice Chairman/Chairman-Elect David G. Hutchens, president & CEO, Tucson Electric Power, UniSource Energy Services and UNS Energy Corp.; Immediate Past Chairman Guy Gunther, vice president of operations, Arizona, CenturyLink; and Secretary/Treasurer Greg White, vice president of finance and CFO at Raytheon Missile Systems.
During the fiscal year ending June 30, the organization worked with 16 new and expanding companies, representing nearly 4,000 new direct jobs for Southern Arizona. These companies represent $157 million in capital investment with a total economic impact of $2.58 billion.
