PayPal, ILLUME Advising and Rincon Research join Council’s Board
The Arizona Technology Council has appointed Wes Hummel, vice president, Site Reliability Engineering, PayPal; Anne Dougherty, co-founder and co-owner, ILLUME Advising; and Dr. Mary L. Bailey, president and CEO, Rincon Research, to its board of directors. Hummel, Dougherty and Bailey were elected unanimously to serve three-year terms at the Council’s quarterly board meeting held April 30. Read more >>
Tech jobs increase as COVID-19 alters business landscape
The findings by Dice, a tech career hub, offer a glimpse into how businesses adjusted to the pandemic onset and the rapid changes it brought. Arizona Technology Council CEO Steve Zylstra said the report is encouraging because it confirms the region’s positive momentum prior to the outbreak. Zylstra added that Arizona’s success and growth is a result of key investments and hiring commitments from technology companies such as Nikola Motor Co., Lucid Motors, Intel Corp., Raytheon Technologies and Benchmark Electronics across a range of market sectors.
