Benchmark Hiring for New Engineering Design Center of Excellence
As announced this spring, Benchmark Electronics is relocating its corporate headquarters to and building an Engineering Design Center of Excellence in Tempe, AZ. This design center will provide IoT (Internet of Things) infrastructure and interconnect of sensors solutions for our customers in military, medical, and industrial market segments, growing to greater than 200 employees in about 3 years. Chandler Expansion for H5 Data Center
H5 Data Centers, a national colocation and wholesale data center provider, will expand its Chandler data center at 2600 W. Germann Road under an agreement with LeaseWeb, one of the world’s largest cloud hosting brands.
H5 Data Centers will continue to own and operate the state-of-the-art, Tier III center, which offers private data center suites in 125- and 250-kilowatt increments. LeaseWeb’s products and solutions include dedicated servers, private cloud, network, CDN, cybersecurity and hybrid IT solutions.
ASU Researchers Offer ‘A Sip of Science’
Arizona State University’s Biodesign Institute is launching “A Sip of Science” talks series to get researchers get out of their labs and meet with the general public at restaurants to share their expertise on a number of topics, including challenges, new discoveries and aspirations to make the world a better place.
The programs will take place at six venues February 8 through May 8 as attendees will be able to share their ideas and ask questions of biologists, neuroscientists, chemists, physicists, engineers and computer scientists.
Cost will be $15 per “Sip of Science” event and includes light appetizers. Proceeds will be used to fund community science events. You can find details and registration links here.
