To help mark the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s 50th anniversary, Dr. Daniel Von Hoff, chief scientific officer for Scottsdale Healthcare’s Virginia G. Piper Cancer Center clinical Trials, was named one of 50 Oncology Luminaries — doctors who significantly advanced cancer care since the group began.
Von Hoff is an internationally recognized physician and scientist whose research has contributed to the development of many anticancer agents routinely used in clinical practice. He also is physician-in-chief and distinguished professor at Phoenix-based Translational Genomics Research Institute.
His profile and those of the 49 other Oncology Luminaries are featured on the society’s website at asco.org and their successes will be celebrated at its upcoming 50th annual meeting in Chicago.
