In order to devote more time to outside ventures, GoDaddy Founder Bob Parsons has resigned his position as executive chairman of the board. The move follows his stepping down as the company’s CEO in 2011.
A new chairman of the domain registrar and web hosting company will be named in the coming months. Parsons will continue to serve on the board of directors.
In recent years, Parsons has focused on his new entrepreneurial venture, YAM Worldwide, which has holdings in power sports, golf, real estate and marketing. He and wife Renee also established the Bob & Renee Parsons Foundation, which has awarded more than $46 million to charities.
