Tucson after5 Tech Mixer: 162nd Wing Air National Guard

The 162nd Wing at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson is home to the Air National Guard’s premier F-16 fighter pilot training unit and MQ-9 Reaper, a remotely piloted aircraft program. The Wing has the strength of nearly 1,900 personnel, nearly half of which are citizen-Airmen.

At this after5 attendees will learn about the array of missions performed on the installation, including its F-16 and MQ-9 flying missions. There will be a guided tour of the Wing’s assets and capabilities.

Registration deadline for this event is January 8, 2019.  No walk-ins will be allowed for this event.  When you register you will be asked to provide your date of birth, social security number and driver’s license number.  This information is secure and is required by the base for verification and placement on the entry list.

PLEASE BRING YOUR DRIVER’S LICENSE OR OTHER VALID GOVERNMENT ISSUED ID.  Admittance to the base will not be allowed without proper identification.

 

The 162nd Wing at Morris Air National Guard Base in Tucson is home to the Air National Guard’s premier F-16 fighter pilot training unit. It is one of the largest ANG wings in the country and resides on 92 acres next to the Tucson International Airport. The wing has the strength of nearly 1,900 personnel, nearly half of which are citizen-Airmen, who perform the robust international F-16 pilot training mission, a remotely piloted aircraft program with persistent combat, reconnaissance and attack capability. The wing also has an alert mission, which is ready to respond at a moment’s notice to protect our skies.
