To drive the mass adoption of ADAS systems in automobiles, optical sensor technology is expected to improve while the cost of such systems will be expected to fall. A view into recent advancements in optical bandpass technology that can play a role in this evolution will be discussed. These advancements are expected to enable automotive optical sensors to see real performance increases while keeping cost targets within reach.

About Our Presenter:

Scott Rowlands, is the Product Line Manager for automotive products in the Optical and Security Products (OSP) division of Viavi. Scott has over 20 years’ experience spanning many products and markets in the optical coatings industry.  He currently manages the marketing and commercial activities across Viavi’s automotive world class offerings in the LiDAR, imaging, and other optical products.
