The UnitED program is designed to establish, build and maintain beneficial, meaningful, sustainable relationships between public education and businesses.
The Arizona Educational Foundation facilitates a purposeful matching of business leaders and school leaders across the state, while helping both parties explore the myriad ways in which effective partnerships can be built. To participate in the program, businesses bring their expertise and resources to match a local school’s needs.
Why is UnitED beneficial for businesses?
Partnering with local K12 schools gives business leaders a behind-the-scenes look at the nature of the public education system, the effect of community involvement in school, and an understanding of what curriculum and opportunities are available for the community’s future workforce.
Why is UnitED beneficial for schools?
Local business partnerships benefit school leadership and staff by helping meet a need otherwise left wanting. Additionally, depending on the type of partnership, these long term relationships can help provide a professional development benefit for teachers or high level administrative advice for principals and administrative staff.
