Innovative People: Waste Management (a purpose-driven culture)
RegisterInnovative People: Waste Management, a culture of sustainability
Every January, Scottsdale becomes home to the most sustainable sporting event in the world – the Waste Management Phoenix Open. Known as the Greenest Show on Grass, the WMPO has diverted 100% of all tournament materials from the landfill for the past three years.
What happens when you transform your purpose-driven brand of sustainability into a culture?
From teaching residents how to recycle right to inspiring little girls to grow up to drive big trucks, Waste Management engages employees in their mission as front-line brand ambassadors. Named “2018 Best Companies for Millennials” by The Women’s Choice Award and “Best for Vets Employers” by Military Times for the past nine years, Waste Management is an industry leader in safety, training and development, compensation and opportunities for growth.
How do they attract, retain, and engage talent in their quest to reimagine waste? On July 19th we welcome Waste Management’s Director of HR Shannon Teixeira and Community Relations Team Member Isha Cogborn to discuss Waste Management’s culture.
