Computer & e-Waste recycling event at Intel’s Ocotillo campus

Intel Corporation will host a Technology Recycling Day on Saturday, Oct. 28 at the Ocotillo campus to provide employees and the general public with an opportunity to responsibly recycle used electronics. Westech Recyclers will be collecting used or no longer operating computers or electronic equipment* to recycle and refurbish. A collection truck will be located at the Ocotillo Campus on the outer edge in the OC2 parking lot.

Items that can be donated include personal computer components, hard drives, monitors, mouse, printers, scanners, cables, and cell phones.

The material received will be responsibly recycled by Westech Recyclers including domestic and global processing through responsible processors. All material will be handled in accordance with all state and federal recycling regulations.

Concerned about data security? Not to worry! Westech will securely destroy any data on your equipment and will perform a one-pass-wipe on all hard drives in accordance with NIST 800-88 guidelines. Deleting personal information is also recommended.

Donors can request a receipt for the tax-deductible donation as a portion of the proceeds goes towards the Arizona Technology Council Foundation and the K-12 Science, Technology, Engineering & Math (STEM) initiatives they support.
