Featuring: Ian Barnett MBA Graduate Student at W. P. Carey School of Business, ASU Ian received his BS in Computer Engineering from Brigham Young University (2008). After graduation, he accepted a Software Engineering position with Lockheed Martin in Goodyear, AZ. During that time he was responsible for developing cutting-edge software applications and subsequently moved into team and technical leadership roles engaging with the customer and organizing collaboration within the organization. While working for Lockheed Martin, Ian received his MS in Systems Architecting and Engineering with a focus in Software Engineering from the University of Southern California (2013). Now pursuing his MBA at Arizona State University, Ian aspires to leverage his technical background to move into product management and other leadership roles defining and executing the strategic vision of complex technical products and services. In conjunction with his MBA, Ian worked with a Phoenix-based software startup called Allbound in the summer of 2015. While there he established the strategic vision of the product and collaborated with internal and external stakeholders to differentiate Allbound’s product and meet customer needs. Outside of his professional life Ian loves spending time with his two kids, Brecken and London. He has traveled the world and enjoys experiencing other cultures and people. Scott Cowley ASU Digital Marketing Researcher & Marketing Strategy Instructor Scott Cowley is a digital marketing researcher and marketing strategy instructor at the W.P. Carey School at Arizona State University. In 2015, he won the Marketing Management Association’s Teaching Innovation Competition for having students publish on BuzzFeed as a way to learn marketing strategy. Penny Ann Dolin Associate Professor of Practice, Graphic Information Technology at ASU, Polytechnic Campus Penny Ann Dolin has been involved in the graphic communications field for over 30 years. As founder and operator of Silver Sight Studio, a successful commercial photography studio based in Stamford, Connecticut, she photographed for Fortune 500 companies and traveled extensively. After receiving her Masters in Technology from Arizona State University (Phi Kappa Phi) she joined American Color, the third largest prepress company in the United States at the time, as a member of the Corporate Research and Development team. Prior to joining the faculty at Arizona State University in 1998, she held the position of Western Region Technical Manager for American Color, with responsibilities for four facilities. She maintains her ties with industry through consulting and professional organizations. She is the lead author on Printing Technology, 5E. Her second book, Exploring Digital Workflow, published by Thomson/Delmar, is now available in paperback. She is also a second term Adobe Education Leader, one of only 140 Higher Education Members worldwide. Penny also serves on the advisory board of Adobe Partners by Design. One of her passions is working in STEM education, utilizing photography as a way to encourage interest in technology and science. Penny is faculty in the Graphic Information Technology program on the Polytechnic campus at Arizona State University, and the Director of the Technical Imaging Lab. Her areas of expertise are in commercial and technical imaging and she is the founder and manager of the GIT Commercial Photography Studio and the Technical Imaging Lab on the Polytechnic Campus.
