Spencer Fane LLP has announced a changing of the guard at its Phoenix law office, with David Funkhouser III named as the new office managing partner. Funkhouser replaced Andrew Federhar, effective March 1. Federhar, who had served in the role since the office’s 2017 opening, will return to full-time work as Of Counsel in the firm’s litigation practice group.

The law firm, which is headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, said Thursday the new brand includes a new logo featuring a contemporary red slash, which the firm said maintains a connection to Quarles’ past brand identity. The firm also debuted a new website and what it called important technical updates designed to help clients and other visitors more effectively connect with Quarles attorneys.

Wood, who takes over the job on Nov. 1, succeeds Leonardo Loo, who has been with the firm for just over 11 years and had been the managing partner in Phoenix since October 2018. A partner in the firm’s high-profile real estate practice group, Wood had served as group chair for five years until he handed over that responsibility to Erin Wanner this summer.
