A 7th-grade member of Arizona Technology Council Foundation’s Chief Science Officer (CSO) program is credited with a creating a new National Technology Field Trip Day that connects students with private industry and higher-education organizations.
Sage Foreman, a student at Centerra Mirage STEM Academy in Goodyear, suggested his idea to Arizona Governor Doug Ducey and the White House last year as a way to advance science and technology. Recently, more than 1,100 Arizona students participated in educational field trips as more than a dozen Arizona companies and organizations became partners and opened their doors to deliver hands-on learning for students interested in tech-based careers during our Foundation’s Arizona SciTech Festival.
Sage is pictured in the middle below along with other students at the 2016 Arizona Technology Council Governor’s Celebration of Innovation.
