Hexagon Mining Selects New HQ in Tucson
City Park in Downtown Tucson will be the new location of the North America headquarters of Hexagon Mining, an information technology provider of planning, operations, and safety solutions for the mining industry.
The company plans to add 120 jobs to its current staff of 140 over the next five years. After the move in summer 2018, “we plan to benefit the entire Tucson region by hosting clients for training, sales presentations and events,” said company President Hélio Samora.
Hexagon Mining will relocate from central Tucson to its new location. It employs 580 people worldwide and invests more than 20 percent of revenue back into R&D.
Redflex Traffic Systems Receives IMPACT Award
Redflex Traffic Systems, a leading provider of public safety technology throughout North America, will be honored with a Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce 2017 IMPACT Award. The company, best known for operating automated red-light and speed camera programs, has its North American headquarters in Glendale.
Redflex and seven other IMPACT Award winners will be honored at the 30th Annual IMPACT Awards luncheon on May 10 at the Arizona Biltmore.
Recognized as an “Exceptional Innovator,” the award is a testament to Redflex’s record of developing road safety programs and products that have helped hundreds of municipalities lower dangerous driving behaviors and save thousands of lives.
Aspect Software Named 2017 Best-of-the-Best

Polsinelli Among Nation’s ‘Brand Elite’ Firms for 2017

BioBasics: Biotech for Non-Scientists, a short course for those interested in a quick overview of the biopharma industry, is being offered May 3-4 at Johnson & Johnson’s JLABS in San Diego.
The course starts with a review of scientific concepts required for understanding the industry before launching into a wide of topics involving drugs and diseases. The latest innovations in such areas as vaccines, monoclonal antibodies and stem cells also are included.
