2019 ANNUAL REPORT
Together, we are creating the destination for technology companies to be, thrive and stay. Our purpose and vision remain strong, even in the face of adversity.
It’s nearly impossible to look forward to the future without appreciating what’s happened in the past and building on what’s happening today. Despite the uncertainty brought about by COVID-19, we find certainty in the strength of our members, partners and stakeholders. The Council’s purpose and vision remain strong, even in the face of adversity.
With a collective commitment, we continue to foster a climate of creativity, innovation and community to enhance the lives of the people of Arizona. Together, we are creating the destination for technology companies to be, to thrive and to stay.
Also resolute is the Council’s dedication to facilitating and funding initiatives that support and advance STEM education for students in Arizona, across the country and around the world. By inspiring and encouraging students in science, technology, engineering and mathematics, we’re continuing to advance the agenda of education for a highly skilled workforce.
Empowering Arizona’s technology community does not happen without a multitude of great minds coming together and playing a pivotal role. Led by a visionary board of directors and in collaboration with dedicated community partners, the Arizona Technology Council continues its mission of accelerating the innovation and entrepreneurial mindset already present in Arizona’s expanding innovation ecosystem.
In our 2019 Annual Report, The Future of Tech in AZ, we highlight the impact the Council and SciTech Institute had across legislation, education, job training, health care and the community. Please review The Future of Tech in AZ to learn about the committees, initiatives, programs and services designed to support and advance Arizona’s science and technology community.
The Council will continue to support its members and Arizona at large. To us, it’s more than doing what’s expected. We know the future is counting on us.
Sincerely,
Steven G. Zylstra
