In 2008 the Social/Charitable Committee chaired the "Wine and Wii" event for Junior Achievement Arizona at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas. Attendees spent the evening mixing with other business professionals, enjoy cocktails and hors d'oeuvres, and playing Wii Sports on the 8 Wii Stations that were set-up throughout
the event. With over 150 attendees, "Wine and Wii" raised over $12,000 that went directly to Junior Achievement.
For 2009 the Social/Charitable Committee has focused on FIRST Robotics as the beneficiary of "Bites, Bots and Beer", an interactive event where participants are encouraged to build their own robot. Taking place on April 16, 2009 at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort and Villas, "Bites, Bots and Beer" is a great opportunity to support and participate in science and
technology.
