GCOI

About the Awards

The Governor's Celebration of Innovation (GCOI) is an annual awards gala that honors Arizona's technology leaders and innovators. The event attracts more than one thousand attendees each year for a night of networking, food, and entertainment. The 2010 GCOI will be held at the Phoenix Convention Center with a strolling dinner format and will include a limited number of reserved sit down tables. The awards portion of the event will be a theatre style awards presentation. Attendees include technologists, corporate executives, entrepreneurs, investors, and policymakers.

History of the Awards

The Governor's Celebration of Innovation was established in 2003 by combining two technology award ceremonies: the High Tech Industry Cluster's 17 year Innovator of the Year awards ceremony and the Arizona Software and Internet Association's 10-year “Celebration of Innovation.” With the addition of the Governor's support, the Governor's Celebration of Innovation has become the premier technology community gathering of its kind in Arizona. The Governor's Celebration of Innovation is presented by the Arizona Technology Council and the Arizona Department of Commerce.
