About the Arizona Technology Council

Who We Are
The Arizona Technology Council is a non-profit trade association founded to connect, represent and support the state's expanding technology industry. To promote economic growth and professional development in Arizona's technology sector, the Council provides members networking opportunities, business support and access to educational forums. The Council strives to distinguish Arizona as a leader in the technology community and offer resources that are exclusive to its members.

Date Established
The Council was established in 2002 after the Arizona High Tech Industry Cluster (HTIC) merged with the Arizona Software & Industry Association (AZSoft.net).

Membership
With over 600 member companies throughout the state, the Council is Arizona's largest technology organization. Members of the Council include technology companies, service providers, government agencies, non-profit organizations and academic institutions.

Governing Body
Led by Chairman Steve Phillips, chief information officer of Avnet, Inc., the Council is governed by a Board of Directors. Steven G. Zylstra serves as president and CEO and is responsible for the day-to-day operations and management of the Council.

The Council produces an electronic newsletter, TechTalk, which provides up-to-date news of what's happening in the tech-community. TechConnect, a bi-monthly publication and Arizona's only magazine of science and technology, explores the region's latest trends, entrepreneurs and issues affecting the growth of technology.
