Kathy Collins
Mesa Functional Chief Engineer

Kathy Collins is currently the Mesa Functional Chief Engineer. Kathy joined The Boeing Company via McDonnell Douglas and previously Hughes Helicopters. She began her career as a process engineer in the Materials, Processes and Standards (MP&S) organization in Culver City, CA and moved to the Mesa Rotorcraft facility in 1985 as a nonmetallics core engineer. In this position she collaborated in cross-functional teams particularly in the area of composite materials and adhesives to produce advanced technology aircraft. Before becoming the MP&S Department manager in 2002, she led the MP&S Laboratory and the Standards and Specifications group.

Kathy received her Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Oregon and a Master of Arts in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University.

In addition to the Arizona Technology Council, Kathy is also serving as a board member to Mesa’s Employee Community Fund (ECF) and Diversity Council.
